Online Safety

Where technology and access to the Internet is available, your child is being asked by the school to access their online learning through four main platforms – ‘Show My Homework’, School Email, ‘Showbie’ and ‘Seneca’.  All these platforms are safe and secure and require a username and password for your child to access them.  These platforms will be used by your child’s teachers to set and mark learning activities.  Within these platforms teachers may also direct your child to the use of other approved websites / platforms including BBC Bitesize, ‘Focus on Sound’, ‘MathsWatch’ , ‘GCSEpod’, IXL for English and Maths and an audible version of ‘Frankenstein’ and ‘Jane Eyre.  If you have any concerns about any content your child has been asked to access, please contact the school on 01253 876757.
If as a parent/carer you choose to supplement the school’s online learning offer with support from any other online provider or individual tutor, please ensure you only use a reputable organisation / individual who can provide evidence that they are safe and can be trusted to have access to children.
